Description:

In this cartoon, Fasouliotis provides a commentary on developments during the Second World War. The major players in the war are presented in caricature images. Hitler occupies central place holding Denmark in his palm. Mussolini watches from a distance through his binoculars while France, in the shape of a cock, pecks Hitler’s feet as they cross the Maginot line. The Russian bear looms large on the east while the British and Scandinavian lions roar from the north. Far on top, is a head of a tiger representing Iceland.
