Description:
This watercolour of Larnaca was prepared for a poster advertising the sights of Larnaca town. The bottom part is the church of St Lazarus, superseded by the mosaic of the Virgin in the church of Kiti and the mosque of Hala Sultan, or Umm Haram. It is interesting to note how humble the mosque appears, almost like a secular building with a minaret. The palm trees are the giveaway as regards the location.
