Dr. Severis received a Ph.D. in History of Art from the University of Bristol. She studied Philosophy, at University College, London University, and (BA Hons) and received a Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism. She is the Executive Director of the Centre of Visual Arts and Research, of the Costas and Rita Severis Foundation, and a member of its Board of Directors. She specializes in travelling artists in Cyprus of the 18th to the 20th centuries and has published widely on the subject.
Holly Kunst is the Research Centre Manager at CVAR with special emphasis in collections management. She has a BA in History from the University of Lethbridge and an MA in Near Eastern Archaeology from Leiden University. She is an active field archaeologist in Cyprus and has a special interest in public heritage and museology.
Natasa Charalambous is the Educational Officer at CVAR. She is a graduate of the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Cyprus, and has an MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of Newcastle. During her time at CVAR, she has designed and developed several educational programmes and projects for families and schools.
Elissavet Felekidou is the second Educational Officer at CVAR. She has a BA in History – Archaeology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Museology – Cultural Management from the faculty of Engineering (AUTH). She has a strong academic background in cultural studies, museum education, applied museology, exhibition design and digital museology.
Stella Loizou is the librarian at CVAR. She received a BSc in Information Science and Museology from the Ionian University of Corfu. Her research interests include English Literature and rare book editions about Cyprus and other cultures.
Elena Adamou is our Publicity, Marketing & Social Media Coordinator. She has a BA in Visual Arts and an MA in Theatre Costume Design from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. Elena has worked in the fields of art, theatre and textiles in Italy as an artist, project coordinator, administration and social media officer.
Sevilay Cesurer is the Events Coordinator at CVAR, as well as a cataloguer in the Research Centre working with the photographic collections. She has a BA in History from the University of Birmingham and an MSc in Gender, Media and Cultural studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research interests include gender, media, postcolonial, migration and diaspora studies relating to and beyond the Cypriot diaspora.
