Description:

The pen and ink sepia drawing of the castle of Limassol gives little detail of the monument itself but rather illuminates its relation to the spatial and human environment around it. Figures with animals populate the expanse around while remaining oblivious to the historical significance of the building. A Greek Orthodox priest holds the center in the foreground perhaps alluding to the position of the Church at the center of the island’s life.
