Description:

Frank Wooton was an aviation artist who was sent to Cyprus in 1949-1950 by the Colonial Office to portray Cyprus for tourist purposes. He made a number of paintings which were also turned into posters. After an original oil painting, this poster portrays the harbour of Kyrenia town in the 50’s. It was commissioned by the colonial office as part of an effort to promote tourism in Cyprus.
