Description:

British illustrator of birds Reid-Henry was invited by David Bannerman to record the birds of Cyprus for the homonymous book authored by Bannerman. This watercolour is the frontispiece of the book in which thirteen more watercolours by the artist are included. The watercolour is of the flamingos in the salt lake of Larnaca made in 1956. In the book, every bird is identified by the author in both its scientific and common name.
