Rupert Gunnis, ADC to Governor Ronald Storrs, took various VIPs round the island:

Took the trolley down to Famagusta. Round the old town and took some photographs. Lunch with Popham who seemed much better. Then to meet Nigel and Elisabeth who arrived on the mail. I think she is very nice indeed. Had time to show them the Cathedral and then up by special train, great welcome at station and various retainers with flowers.
