“Got into Adalia about 12.00 All ashore and to see the sights. Alas! They are pulling down the walls. The museum has a very fine sarcophagus and an interesting inscription about King Peter of Cyprus visiting Adalia in 1363. I copied it down and sent it to the C.A.M. There was also a large marble slab with the Royal Lusignan arms on. Had a long talk with the Italian Consul and his wife, who is English.”
