10 May 1929: Alfiros wrote to his mother about Limnitis.
“I have just returned from a quick walk down to Limnitis and back. It is a ramble of about a Swedish mile, rather difficult terrain, which I nonetheless pulled off in 45 minutes. The Limnitis valley belongs among the most beautiful things I have seen in my life and Petra has been called “the most beautiful island on earth”. Limnitis is one of the places I have only beautiful thoughts about.”
