In 1878, Cyprus had one flag flying.
By the mid twentieth century Cyprus had three flags flying.
In 1960, four flags were flying on the island.
1963 saw an additional flag:
In 1983, one more flag was added.
One flag for Cyprus was designed in 2003, but never flew on the island.
And finally, in 2004, the European flag was raised in Cyprus.
