Description:
This is a view of Bellapais village from the west. Low roofed houses are almost buried in lush vegetation even though it is a summer day when most of Cyprus suffers from drought. In the distance rises the monastery of Bellapais although not given prime importance in the picture. The artist has achieved a serene yet unconventional combination of colours which altogether surround a patch of whiteness projected by a cluster of houses.
