Description:

The olive trees of Cyprus intrigued most artists for their size and age. Olive groves are mostly found in the north part of the island at the foothills of the Kyrenia mountain range as well as the eastern slopes of Troodos. The artist has successfully captured the silver-grey colours of the trees. A narrow lane provides the vista of the painting leading to a few humble dwellings. These could be a farmer’s lodge or even a chapel.
