Description:
The watercolour presents part of the shore at Larnaca taken from Piale Pasha street, behind the castle. There is a large veranda which now does not exist. Men are looking out at sea and boats are approaching the shore. Horses and goats give an oriental flavour to the picture, although the figures are dressed mainly in European attire. The Turkish flag is flying on the castle.
