Description:

An oil painting of the view from Troodos mountain, specifically from the village of Platres. Hills are unfolding towards the horizon and the foreground is covered with the pinus negra, typical coniferous trees of Cyprus. As the terrain develops to lower ground it becomes barer and stark. The view is from Platres looking north.
