Description:

The October page of the Cyprus Calendar (1950) captures a long lost view of the Larnaca seashore. Old houses with overhanging balconies and interior courtyards appear in line next to each other at the seafront. A Turkish porter wearing a white headscarf and no shoes stands on the primitive wooden peer. Small boats are tied on the pier and in one of them the figures of three fishermen are mending their nests.
