Description:

Ann Villiers was the daughter of Governor Sir William Haynes Smith (1898-1904). She lived in Government House. This watercolour depicts a number of British army tents under the shade of the tall pine trees of Troodos. Troodos mount was used in summer as a campsite by British troops to avoid the heat and disease of the plains.
