Description:
Terry Frost spent some time in Cyprus teaching at the Cyprus College of Art in Lemba village, Paphos after 1974. Inspired by the hot summer sun of the island he executed a series of paintings with the sun as their main theme. The top sun with rays is painted like an evil eye. According to local belief, this protects the bearer from the malevolent force of individuals casting an evil eye.
