Description:

The painting is of the Venetian School, presenting Caterina Cornaro in the same posture as in the portrait by Titian. There are small differences. Her arms are half way bare showing her bracelet, the colour of her clothes differs and so does her crown. She is portrayed here as a middle aged lady, with a rather serious and composed posture.
