Description:

The village of Pano Kivides lies within the Limassol district. During the medieval period, it was a fief belonging to the family of De Quevides. In 1468, King of Cyprus James II gave Kivides as a present to his mother Marietta of Patras. The church of Agios Georgios stands in the middle of the village. The colours used by the artist are rather faint creating an almost faded effect as concerns the village which happens to be almost abandoned today.
