The cross-shaped Byzantine Church of Panayia Kyra in Livadia village, Karpas penisula, featuring an irregular dome appears in this watercolour. According to George Jeffery, the church is perhaps the ‘Madonna Di Loara’ referred to by Lusignian as belonging to the Loara family of Cyprus. (A Description of the Historic Monuments of Cyprus, 1983, p. 250). The chapel lies abandoned, as faithfully represented in the picture, since 1974.
