Description:
This watercolour projects a general view of Nicosia by British artist Arrobus taken from a hilltop known as Catsellis. The line of the Kyrenian mountain range creates the backdrop of the picture while extensive use of guache helps the work structurally. The use of a strong green colour for the trees contrasts with the guache brushstrokes and creates a three dimensional effect.
