Inscribed: Korphi Village, Cyprus, Elizabeth Oram, F.R.S.A.

Description:

This aspect of Korphi village conveys a sad impression of a village in abandonment and dilapidation. Empty houses with no doors and collapsed roofs, a clay pot thrown out on the road and a stack of wooden beams resting against a wall indicate neglect and desertion. The white stone contrasts successfully with the darker colours which are used to convey the sad realities.
