It is a winter day, the trees bare of leaves. In the centre of what looks like an orchard stands a humble shed which could be an animal pen, or the abode of a poor villager. In contrast to most of the artist’s other works, the colours used here are shades of dark brown giving a sad and gloomy impression of this picture.
