Description:

Surrounded by humble houses with red tiled roofs, stands Famagusta Cathedral. The watercolour allows only a part view of the edifice. It is a solid building of local yellow sandstone in the gothic style. The right tower bears now a tall minaret added by the Ottomans in 1572. The artist has achieved a bright light within his work reflected by the white wash houses the light blue cloudy sky and the soft brown of the Cathedral.
