Description:

The monastery of Ayios Neophytos lies in the foothills of Troodos mountains in the Paphos region, near the village of Tala. The watercolour presents the main entrance to the monastery which leads into a large courtyard. The church lies on the left while the courtyard is full of flowers and small trees and is surrounded by monastic cells. The work is linear, with little touch of colours but architecturally correct. Opposite the entrance is the englistra, where the saint lived and died and decorated his cave with exquisite frescoes.
