Description:

In the far distance stands the Turkish fort of Larnaca with the Turkish flag flying above it. The watercolour provides a view of the fort from the west, where lies the Turkish quarter of Larnaca. The buildings obstructing a complete view of the fort must have been part of a boat dock (arsanas) as boats and fishing nets are seen resting on the shore.
