This album, containing 79 black and white photographs, is compiled by an un-named woman serving abroad in the British military during the 1940s. The locations of the photographs include Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, Malta, Cyprus, Germany, The Netherlands and England. Most photographs focus on holiday time and activities, including days at the beach, visiting historic sites and hiking. People featured in the photos include many of herself, as well as, friends from the military and college friends from England. The titles were taken from inscriptions on the album pages, where available, and were otherwise generated by the cataloguer on the basis of the content of the photograph.
