1 December 1926: Rupert Gunnis was very busy what with Christmas coming up.
“A busy day, the office varied by rushing to arrange the house. In the evening the Ex-King Hussein of the Hedjaz came to call, a very fine old man, I had a long talk with him- this is the first time he has been to Government House since he has been in exile here. He kissed H.E. both on the brow and cheeks- the interview very satisfactory. I got several things done to my house.”
