Description:

This poster was probably created after a painting by Keith Henderson. It conveys an image of life in the outskirts of a whitewashed settlement which appears in the background. The only evidence attesting to the identity of the settlement being Nicosia are the twin minarets of Agia Sophia and the Pentadaktylos mountain range. In the middle of the picture, a camel caravan occupies central space, while a small herd of goats appears at the front left of the poster. At the front right, the scene of a donkey loaded with grapes in between a villager and a boy points to fact that this is the season of the harvest. The poster is in the almost comical fashion of the 20’s.
