Description:

During the early years of the Republic of Cyprus, and due to shortage of funds, various theatres and theatre groups advertised their productions with feuilles volantes. These were distributed to the townsfolk by hand or posted on electricity poles or on shop entrances. This is one such feuilles volants advertising Chehov’s The Bear and Lorca’s The shoemaker’s prodigious wife. The poster is simple, monochrome and with no illustration.
