Description:
Gwendolen Frere was the daughter of Judge Bertle Frere who arrived in 1897 and took up judicial duty in the British administration of Cyprus. She was an amateur artist who executed a series of watercolours of Nicosia and Kyrenia. The watercolour provides a view of a humble white washed house at the foothills of the Kyrenia mountains. A small fenced garden and a trellis extends in front of the house.
