The author will explain and expand on the subject of abandoned villages in Ottoman Cyprus between 1601-1609.

Bio: Mustafa Kasapoğlu was born in Famagusta in 1968. He studied Foreign Languages and Arabic Language Education at Gazi University. After graduation, he worked as an Arabic-Ottoman translator at the Turkish Cypriot Archives and Research Department for eight years. He then transferred to the Cyprus Foundations Administration (EVKAF) and worked there as the Archive Officer.
He retired in 2020 and served as a representative of the department in various committees and delivered lectures at many Universities on Arabic, Ottoman, and old Turkish Literature and the History of Religions. He also participated in several symposiums, panels and congresses at national and international levels and presented articles and papers on various topics. He is the author of seven books.
