Collect H-Carson and to the funeral of Triantafyllides. First the Trypiots church, a long service taken by the Bishop of Paphos. Then walked with the hearse to the cemetery. The lid of the coffin was taken off before the body was placed in the grave. Thousands of people, I never saw such crowds, the whole thing took 21/2 hours. Mogabgab turned up from Madeira full of talk. I had sent Graham with a car to go up St Hilarion. About 4.30 the car came back with Graham inside covered with blood and with a broken arm. He had fallen from the top of the castle!! I took him to the hospital at once.
