Alfred Westholm of the Swedish Expedition writes about his visit to St Hilarion.

On Sunday we younger members of the expedition made a marvellous car excursion up to the now ruined fortress of the Lusignans, St. Hilarion, while Einar worked at the Institute and Vivi remained in bed. This was among the most magnificent things I have ever seen. High up on a needle-sharp clifftop lies the old nest, now overgrown by the most wonderful cypresses. It was the first long outing after my illness, but it went just fine.  Almost every Sunday, at least as often as we wish, the car is in this manner at the disposal of the assistants for pleasure trips to the many tourist destinations, all of which have not nearly been visited yet. Cyprus is almost inexhaustible.
