Description:
The pinus negra covers most of the mountainous territory of Cyprus. Its droopy branches leaning towards the earth and its flat top make conspicuous features of the Cypriot landscape on the highlands. Visiting artists could hardly fail to notice these pine trees and repeatedly depicted them in their works. The two mountain ranges of Cyprus afford marvelous views of unfolding hills as recorded in the watercolour.
