Askew, R., C.
Inscribed in lower left recto: Mountain village, Cyprus, 1958, by R.C. Askew
The white argil terrain in conjunction with olive and carob trees indicates a village in the lowlands of Limassol. The architecture of the church suggests a mid-twentieth century construction. The red-tiled roof tops also signify the proximity of the village to the mountains.
