Description:

This is one of the first examples of a tourist map of the island. The map of Cyprus is portrayed in the middle with the code of arms of the middle ages on the right hand site while the statue of Aphrodite is placed near her birthplace Paphos. Sailing ships and boats indicate the harbours of the island while a Greek amphora on the top right indicates the islands links with the Greek civilization. The map is surrounded with a series of roundels depicting the most important sites of the island.
