Description:
The signature of the painting is interesting. It consists of a capital A and S with a sign of a fish in between, which leads us to assume that the artist’s name is Fisher. The watercolour portrays a landscape view from the bay of Fivemile west of Kyrenia with the mountain of Saint Hilarion in the background. This has always been a very popular scene although as years went by and the town expanded it was portrayed with a plethora of dwellings.
