George Boustronios mentions how the Venetians replaced the Cypriots at the palace:

And on 13 March they relieved the Cypriots who used to sleep at the palace and appointed Italians. They also changed the Cypriots guarding the doors and appointed Cretans. Furthermore, they changed the captain of arsenal, Sir John Francois, and appointed Nicolo Benedetti.
