Special day for Rupert Gunnis, ADC to Sir Ronald Storrs, as he was present in the swearing in of the new Governor Sir Reginald Edward Stubbs:
Took E and Lady MH down to Larnaca and saw them off. Then back and changed into “Lords” clothes and to the Konak where I placed my scouts. Then took the family to our seats inside and watched the swearing in of the new Governor, quite well done, he is not an impressive looking man, small crowd to greet him, mostly Turks. After lunch to write our names in the book and for a drive.
