Research Material

Rich archival material on Cyprus’ history - especially the Colonial period - is also deposited at the Research Centre, along with a plethora of old photographs of Cyprus, its monuments, its people, and everyday life scenes comprising CVAR’s rich photographic collection. Researchers are welcome to consult any archival material onsite and online. Online catalogues and digital material are provided in the ‘Collections and Archives’ section: https://cvar.severis.org/en/collections

Library

The library is open to the public between 09:30 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday during summertime and Tuesday to Saturday during winter, when anyone can access books and archival material. Please note that CVAR’s library is a non-lending library.

Access to any material is made possible by completing the Research Request Form and sending it via email to research@serveris.org. Upon submitting your written request, a library staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment. Before your arrival, the library staff will prepare the requested items and have them ready in time for the appointment.

All visitors to the library have to complete the ‘Visitors book’. Researchers who would like to receive paper or digital copies of any material should complete the Copying Request Form and submit it to the library staff.
